The Alfa Laval DuraCirc® line of pumps is specially designed for hygienic application duties containing media with solids and sensitive and/or abrasive particles within in the food, beverage, dairy, and home & personal care industries. It is ideal for the handling of relatively higher viscosity fluids that are outside the performance envelope of centrifugal pumps, while also being capable of much higher discharge pressures. With a broad range of flow rates and pressures the DuraCirc® line has a model to suit virtually every process scenario.
The DuraCirc® line is capable of delivering a wide performance envelope, including 150 m3/hr (660 GPM) flow rates and pressures of up to 40 bar (580 psi). All models meet global hygienic design standards, including 3-A and EHEDG; the elastomers and gearbox lubricants used are also FDA-Compliant.
For DuraCirc® line specifically, we offer the DuraCirc® Uni-Fit — a port with alternate dimensions made specially for the drop-in replacement of existing CPP pumps of all major brands. This means that the DuraCirc® can be purchased without requiring modification of pipework within existing hygienic systems.
In addition to these features, the DuraCirc® line has the following industry-leading service features:
- Truly front-loading single mechanical seal for fast replacement without removal from the process line
- Simple replacement of rotors and/or rotor case
- External shimming outside the rotor case
- Interchangeable spare parts
- Long-life bearings offering tens of thousands of operation time
- Single, 3000-hour change interval oil-based gearbox lubricant
Standard maintenance of DuraCirc® pumps does not require disassembly of the gearbox, or complicated re-work/re-build procedures.

The DuraCirc 42, 53, 54, 63, and 73 models are available in an aseptic version.
