Snow Melt

Snowmelt systems play vital roles as safety measures for air ambulance helicopter pads and on steep ramps. These systems typically operate by pumping hot antifreeze through a series of tubes under the asphalt.
In recent years snowmelt systems have also become widely used for residential driveways. Their popularity has steadily increased over the years as the population ages and the relative burden of shovelling snow becomes more difficult.
Snow Melt System Performance
Snow melt systems traditionally rely on brazed plate heat exchangers, usually to separate the antifreeze from the the hot water in the boiler circuit. We carry Alfa Laval’s line of brazed plate heat exchangers which provide optimal performance, reliability, and highly efficient heat transfer capabilities.
