Gasketed plate units are particularly suited for large pools in commercial/public settings due to their ability to be easily taken apart and cleaned at regular intervals without disturbing piping, allowing compliance with municipal sanitation regulations. Their high heat transfer efficiency also allows them to: be operated at close (as little as 2°F) temperature approaches, quickly reheat pools for quick turn-around times in a fouling event, and be used effectively in conjunction with geothermal heat-sources as low as 110°F.
