Using designs that provide greater thermal efficiency relative to comparable shell-and-tube heat exchangers, Alfa Laval’s line of heat exchangers features models suited for liquid-to-liquid applications, as well as steam heating, evaporation, and condensation duties for wastewater, mining, refining, and other applications that other heat exchangers would struggle to support. Alfa Laval SpiralPro models for liquid-to-liquid or steam-to-liquid duties have designs to resist clogging from dirty media including sludges, slurries, fibres, particle-containing fluids, and other fouling fluids.
Alfa Laval’s Compabloc® welded plate heat exchanger is an ideal replacement for most shell and tube heat exchangers with superior robustness, including design pressures up to 60 barg (857 psig), and reliability for a long service life. With a laser-welded construction and fully mechanically cleanable design, Compabloc® resists fouling for long periods and is efficient to clean during regular maintenance and cleaning cycles.
