the tubes, poor heat transfer rates will inevitably raise production

To improve the performance of a shell and tube heat exchangers,
the tubes should be cleaned at regular intervals. Each time the
tube deposits, sedimentation, biofouling and obstructions are removed,
the tube surface is returned to its original condition. These tube
cleaning procedures are performed offline, the most frequently chosen
and fastest method being mechanical cleaning.
