Gestra
Steam Traps and Steam Systems
As distributors for Gestra, a global leader in steam trap
technology and steam conservation technology, Valutech supplies
a variety of valves and industrial electronics for steam systems.
Gestra Steam Traps are categorized as follows:
MK Series- thermostatic steam traps.
BK Series - bimetallic steam traps.
UNA Series - float and thermostatic steam
traps.
If you demand innovative solutions for your steam systems you will
be one jump ahead with Valutech. Our highly-engineered gestra steam
traps are designed for easy installation and maintenance and
ensure that energy is utilized in an optimum way without loss of
live steam. The support services provided by our staff of application
engineers range from consultancy, planning and design of steam systems
through sizing and selection of steam traps to system monitoring
and supervisory inspections.
When it comes to steam and energy savings, come to the company
that has the priceless resource of experience.
Gestra pioneered "zero steam loss" membrane thermostatic
traps resulting in major energy savings for the industry. Consumers
of steam all over the world have derived considerable benefits from
Gestra's innovative designs for traps, valves and steam related
equipment focusing on energy conservation. Valutech's steam specialists
provide services to plants based on Gestra's superior technology.
We supply Energy Efficient MembraneThermostatic Steam Traps, robust
Bimetallic Steam Traps, high quality Float & Thermostatic and Thermodynamic
Steam Traps for all steam trapping applications ranging from:
- 2 psi to 3600 psi pressure ratings
- 2 lbs/hour to 200,000 lbs/hour condensate capacities
Gestra Steam Trap Applications
For an industrial plant to achieve optimal efficiency for a long
period of time, choosing the right steam trap technology is of vital
importance. To capture steam from the heating process and discharging
it once it has lost all of its heat energy, a range of steam traps
are needed to suit all the possible varieties of applications and
requirements. Our steam traps have many practical applications and
are employed where:
- steam is generated, distributed or used
- fluids flow
- energy saving is possible
- environmental protection and safety-oriented control systems
are needed.
The type of steam trap varies, of course, on the application and
plant conditions. Valutech is prepared to assist you in selecting
the most economical solution for your particular application. We
supply three different steam trap types.

MK Series- a thermostatic
steam trap with membrane regulator. Very sensitive response
characteristic.

Advantages
While these three major types of standard traps cover a wide range
of possible applications and plant requirements, they all share
a number of common advantages:
- Easy Maintenance: can be checked, cleaned and repaired
without being removed from pipework.
- Interchangeable: different trap types have standardized
face-to-face dimensions, sizes and end connections making them
interchangeable without any modification to pipe layout.
- Tight shut-off without loss of live steam.
- Automatic air-venting
- Dirt Resistant.
- Production Tested: are tested under operating
conditions
- Complies with recognized standards.
